About Our Chapter

Dear friends, sisters, and first-time visitors,

Hello and welcome to the CT Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at Yale University! I am so proud and honored to represent this incredible group of individuals as Chapter President. As president of Pi Phi, I am so excited to introduce you to the amazing group of women that I am fortunate enough to call my sisters.

Within Pi Phi you will find remarkable women with diverse interests, talents, and backgrounds, who are both leaders and friends. Our chapter is home to national champions, non-profit founders, lead actresses, varsity athletes, Phi Beta Kappa members, YCC officers, countless student organization leaders, and even the current Miss North Haven!

We're also proud to consistently maintain the highest GPA among Yale's sororities. Furthermore, as one of the largest women’s organizations on campus, we take our role as a voice for women seriously; commitment to service is our guiding principle, and our members are involved in Pi Phi’s literacy initiatives through volunteering and fundraising. With regards to our community here at Yale, in recent years we have become engaged in ongoing efforts to make our campus an inclusive and welcoming place for every member of the student body, faculty, and staff. The women of Pi Phi care about their academics, their friends, their community, and their sisters, and it is obvious in every word and action.

As I hope you can tell, I am awestruck by my sisters' achievements and drive. But what I find most notable is not their individual accomplishments, but their true friendships with and unconditional support for one another. At any of the numerous performances, sporting events, or competitive academic pursuits that our members are involved in, you can spot evidence of what makes Pi Phi so special in the loud cheering section of sisters in the crowd.

From Donut Crazy fueled study sessions in Bass, to Bachelor Mondays and late night lock-ins at the house, to the dancefloor at formal, Pi Phi is a true sisterhood and family; I believe that nowhere is there a more genuine, loving, and supportive community where real friendships are made and nurtured. It is incredible to know that in good times and bad, I can rely on my sisters. I cannot imagine my Yale experience without the crazy misadventures, fun times, and lifelong friendships Pi Phi has given me.
